This short biopic of Dali’s life won two awards at the Two Short Nights Festival at the Exeter Phoenix. It was mostly filmed in a boxing gym in a former chapel building in Torquay; the ants and elephant were filmed at Paignton zoo.

Like Salvador, I had an older brother, Rob, who died too young and it’s dedicated to his memory.

Clean-living Karl is a German undergraduate, who has come to the UK to improve his ‘Nglish.’ Fate has accommodated him in a dysfunctional family where the parents can barely stand to look at each other. The story unfolds over his first night as a series of vignettes with each family member.

The supporting cast includes a sausage dog called Mustard and a rather large seagull. This film also won an award at the Two Short Nights Festival.
